Hard Rock Hotel Chicago

Allegedly designed to resemble a champagne bottle, the "Carbide and Carbon Building" is another gem in Chicago's skyline. Restoration and rehabilitation work has been installed on an as-needed basis to preserve and bring back historical features that include beaconed light atop the gold-leaved campanile, gold-glazed terra-cotta units that accent the jade green wall areas, and reconstruction and refinishing of the historical bronze storefront and entrances.

35 East Wacker Drive

Providing years of service to preserve the historical terra cotta wall surfaces for one of Chicago's best known buildings. "The Jeweler's Building", named for its original use with car elevators to securely unload goods, is being restored on an extended exterior repair man maintenance program that is effective, affordable and sensitive to the owners needs. Restoration efforts have been at the water towers and cupolas, upper tower, projecting cornices and corners of the building on a continued basis for long-term preservation strategies.

Catholic Charities

With limited budget and big needs, the exterior walls and enclosures were restored to their original condition using the best resources in the industry. Innovative design at the open porches provided expanded office space to satisfy the store and brick masonry surfaces has provided a noticeable upgrade in the buildings' appearance much needed work now turns to the eaves of the upper roofs at the main building to remedy serious deterioration from prior roof leaks.

Garland Office Lofts

A condominium among office building, The Garland Building is a thriving success at the doorstep of Millennium Park. Restoration efforts have maximized repair needs at reasonable costs as preservation strategies shift from the maintained exterior walls to replacing original wood windows and metal doors that have not endured the test of time. The owners needs have been satisfied by the long-term relationship and understanding of the current building conditions and owner desires.

Caroline Hedger & Judge Fisher Apartments

Both senior, public housing high-rise buildings, restoration strategies and repair documents were provided using past experience with buildings of this type of age and construction instead of the usual hands-on examination, testing and evaluation. Both projects exceeded the CHA owner needs that provided quality concrete and masonry repairs and balcony railing replacement.

1500 North Lake Shore Drive

Located in the heart of the Gold Coast at one of Chicago's most prestigious addresses, this stone-walled masterpiece boasts lavish floor plans and extraordinary amenities such as a rooftop wishing well and surrounding lawn that predates any "green" philosophy by 80 years. The building is built like a rock, except for some areas that have deteriorated to corrosion of the embedded structural steel and support anchors that have been repaired and replaced over the past many years. Inspections are made on a regular basis to make sure things are taken care of in a timely manner using qualified craftsmen to install the work.

223 East Delaware Place

A Chicago landmark, tucked between the dynamic lakefront and Magnificent Mile is a fine example of premier architecture of the times. Current repair plans include the restoration of the rear exterior walls and wood window enclosures to preserve the stately presence of the high and residence for many years to come.

433 West Briar Place

Quick and efficient building analysis and cost evaluation for seriously deteriorated terra and cotta stone replacements that transformed the building from dangerous & hazardous to safe conditions, which facilitated the timely sale of the property.

Americana Towers

Balcony slab edge repair and waterproofing and railing replacements. Balcony repairs and waterproofing, installed on the building many years ago were proven to deter deterioration due to corrosion by limited water infiltration. Recently installed restoration work included minimal defective concrete repairs and the recoating of the membrane that has so well protected the reinforced concrete balcony slabs. Original railings were replaced with new surface-mount base-place and solid section that weigh a ton but may never lose strength.
