Restoration and rehabilitation work has been installed on an as-needed basis to preserve and bring back historical features that include beaconed light atop the gold-leaved campanile, gold-glazed terra-cotta units that accent the jade green wall areas, and reconstruction and refinishing of the historical bronze storefront and entrances.

35 East Wacker Drive

Providing years of service to preserve the historical terra cotta wall surfaces for one of Chicago's best known buildings. "The Jeweler's Building", named for its original use with car elevators to securely unload goods, is being restored on an extended exterior repair man maintenance program that is effective, affordable and sensitive to the owners needs. Both senior, public housing high-rise buildings, restoration strategies and repair documents were provided using past experience with buildings of this type of age and construction instead of the usual hands-on examination, testing and evaluation. Located in the heart of the Gold Coast at one of Chicago's most prestigious addresses, this stone-walled masterpiece boasts lavish floor plans and extraordinary amenities such as a rooftop wishing well and surrounding lawn that predates any "green" philosophy by 80 years. The building is built like a rock, except for some areas that have deteriorated to corrosion of the embedded structural steel and support anchors that have been repaired and replaced over the past many years. Inspections are made on a regular basis to make sure things are taken care of in a timely manner using qualified craftsmen to install the work.
